Born Florence Marie Walker on August 23, 1921, in Lucerne, Wyoming, she was the third of six children born to Jesse and Grace Walker. Toots grew up in Lucerne and Thermopolis. Helen L. Drake, 97, died July 10, 2025, in Scottsdale, Ariz. She was born May 4, 1928, in Watertown, S.D., to Guy and Minnie Peterson. She had one sister Arline Frantz. Helen worked many years at Norwest Bank in Watertown. She retired to Thermopolis, Wyo., to be near her son, then to Arizona.
