The team played a double-header at Lovell on Monday, June 22 and then another double-header at home on Tuesday, June 30 against Greybull. The Legion Baseball team was busy this past week - playing three double headers, with four on the road, before returning to play two against Powell at Whitt Field on Saturday, June 20. On Monday the 15th, the team carried their 8 - 6 record into a two-game series with the Chiefs (7-19). The 53rd Annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl game will be played this Saturday, June 13 at Cheney Alumni Field, at Natrona County High School in Casper. The Hot Springs High School track teams put in a fantastic effort this past season - sweeping the Regionals Championships in both the boys, and in the girls divisions. Thermopolis qualified 29 thinclads to compete in the State Championships in Casper this year. The spring junior high and high school rodeo season kicked off in Rock Springs the third weekend of April. The regular season includes competition at six rodeos around Wyoming. Both teams competed in the 2A Spring Championship Tournament at Fossil Island Golf Course on Friday and Saturday, May 8 and 9. Last Saturday, nine area schools met to compete in the 2026 Big Horn Conference track meet at Leroy Hayes Field in Thermopolis. At the end of the day, the 6th grade boys (151.75 points), 8th grade boys (164.5 points), 6th grade girls (120 points) and 8th grade girls ( 155 points) all finished in first place earning them the title of conference champions. In the last week of regular competition, the Thermopolis Middle School track team traveled to Greybull for the 2026 Greybull Middle School Invite. All four teams for Thermopolis ended the day in first place in the team standings with seven other teams in attendance . Last weekend, the middle school track team competed at the Shoshoni Jr. High Invite along with 14 other schools. The Shoshoni Invite is unique as some schools bring 5th grade athletes, putting the 5th and 6th grades in the youth division and the 7th and 8th graders in the middle school division.
