The Hot Springs County High School Bobcat and Lady Cat cross-country teams traveled to Worland last Thursday to compete in the Warriors XC Invitational at the Green Hills Golf Course. Last Friday, Thermopolis Middle School cross country teams were in Worland for the Warrior Invitational competing with seven other schools from the Big Horn Basin. With the season winding down, several runners were able to post personal records. The Class 2A State Championship Golf Tournament was played in Douglas over two days last weekend with the Lady Cats bringing home first place and the Bobcats bringing home second place. In their season home opener, the Bobcats hosted the Kemmerer Rangers on Friday, September 19. On a beautiful fall evening, the Cats put on a display of offensive, defensive and special teams prowess, defeating the Rangers by a score of 34-7. The course was a little different this year, including a hill climb which was intense, and proved to be a significant challenge for the teams who came to test their metal.
