Members of the Thermopolis Wrestling Club were presented the Don Voorhees Sportsmanship Award at the Brandon Delzer Memorial Wrestling Tournament in Sturgis, S.D. on January 7. Last weekend, the Hot Springs County High School Bobcat wrestling teams traveled to Pavillion to compete in the Don Runner Memorial Tournament. Due to weather concerns, the event was parred to a single day on Friday. Last Friday, the Thermopolis Middle School wrestling team traveled to Glenrock for the Herder Middle School Team Dual Tournament bringing home a second place finish in Pool A. Competition during a dual style tournament is between two schools and each team is allowed to enter one wrestler per weight.
