Kevin Jon Meier

Kevin Jon Meier, 66, of White Lake, Mich., passed to his eternal home on Oct. 6, 2025, after a short illness.

He was born in Salina, Kan., Jan 25, 1959. Kevin moved with his parents, Rev. W. Wayne and Verla Meier, to Thermopolis, Wyo., in 1975. Kevin graduated from HSC High School in 1977. Kevin was a man of deep faith, rooted from his faithful parents and loved God first above all else. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod where he participated and served his church in many ways throughout his life. His joy was to sing in his church choirs, glorifying God with his beautiful tenor voice. His many choir members will also say how he lightened their long rehearsals with his sense of humor and lightheartedness.

Early in his career Kevin served as a Lutheran minister for 10 years and then worked as a field technician for the Southern CA Gas Company for over 20 years. He loved cooking, gardening, endless dad jokes, and road trips to anywhere. The lights of his life were his three granddaughters, Audrey Rose, Lillian Siena, and Brooke Eloise, who called him his favorite title, Papa.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Cathy; daughters and spouses, Rebecca (Rick) Kozlin, Allison (Justin) Larson, and Emily (Troy Means ) Meier; mother, Verla Meier; and siblings, Greg Meier, Michelle (Danny) McCawley, Dennis (Libby) Meier, Lester (Lisa) Meier, and Wesley (Amber) Meier.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. W. Wayne Meier.

Any memorial donations can be made to his church, Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, 13667 Highland Rd, Hartland, Michigan 48353. Kevin cherished the worship services at Our Savior's.

A memorial service in Michigan is undetermined at this time.

A celebration of life service will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Thermopolis officiated by Pastor Tim Trippel, of Grace Lutheran in Worland, on November 22, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. for all of Kevin's family and friends.
