Gary L. Giannino

1944-2025

Gary L. Giannino, 81, died September 14, 2025, after a period of declining health.

Born May 4, 1944, in Rock Springs, Wyo., he was the son of Anthony Giannino and Catherine Daum. He grew up in Thermopolis and following graduation from Hot Springs County High School, he joined the Army.

In August of 1966, he married Judy McCormick. Gary attended Casper College and the University of Wyoming receiving a Bachelor's degree in history. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going 30 years to Sturgis, fishing, shooting and playing cards with family and friends.

Gary worked in the oil field and then in 1972 went to work for Axelson Inc. He became district manager until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Judy, of 59 years; son, Jim of Anthem, Ariz.; daughter, Jodi Hale of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandsons, Brayden, Garrett and Jett of Phoenix, Ariz.; and step-mother Fran O'Hanlon of Las Vegas, Nev.

Preceding him in death were his parents; stepdad; and brothers, John, Philip and Carl.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Monument Hill Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Catholic Church Parish Center following the service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
