    The dust has settled from the 2022 General Election with winners being declared and those who have been newly elected preparing to take over in January, 2023 when official swearing ins will take place. Gary Holbert has been declared the winner of the mayor race in East Thermopolis. He received 40 write in votes, winning over Jeremiah Ramsey who received 26 votes.     The River of Life Church is preparing to move into its new building location. The church, led by Pastor Joe Moon, purchased the building in March. It used to be the Elks Lodge and the former Wax Museum. They are finishing up construction, including the fire suppression system. The pipes for the fire suppression are currently being fabricated.     At the November Thermopolis - Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce board meeting, CEO Meri Ann Rush and the board continued their discussion about creating a succession plan when the CEO vacates the position.     Unofficial results have been released for the 2022 Hot Springs County General Election. In Hot Springs County, there were a total of 2,213 votes cast. A new Mayor will be the taking over for the Town of the Thermopolis. Adam Ryan Estenson received 650 votes winning over incumbent Mike Chimenti who received 552 votes.     At the November 1 Hot Springs County Commissioners meeting, Brian Clarkson and Maddie Ross of T-O Engineers gave the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) update and said in September they used septic documents from 1998 and 2000 up to 2021 to attribute septic permits in the GIS database.
