Free dump day set for Saturday

The Town of Thermopolis is holding its annual Spring Clean-Up now through Sunday, May 21. All residents and business owners are encouraged to clean their property in preparation for the upcoming summer season.

Four large dumpsters will be located at the following addresses for residents to use: 14th Street next to the tennis courts, intersection of 9th and Big Horn Streets, intersection of 8th and Amoretti Streets, and the 200 block of 2nd Street.

There will also be a Free Dump Day at the town landfill for all town and county residents on Saturday, May 20 from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Town landfill rules still apply. Normal charges will still apply for tires and appliances with freon.

Do not put the following items in dumpsters: tires, appliances with freon, concrete, gravel, or dirt. No construction debris generated by contractors. No hazardous waste, such as oil, paint, batteries, or solvents. The town officials ask that if you cut down an entire tree that you not put it in the dumpsters, please take it to the landfill.

Please see the Town of Thermopolis advertisement on page 8 for more details.
