    This weekend, students in Thermopolis FFA will be attending a two-day conference at Douglas High School. Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor Britton Van Heule said primarily freshmen and sophomores will be going to the Finding Inspiration Reaching Excellence (FIRE) conference, while juniors and seniors are attending the Chapter Presidents Conference (CPC).     People who want to help out the elementary teachers with some needed school supplies will have that opportunity this holiday season as the school’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will again be setting up the Teacher Tree.     Hot Springs County High School held their Academic Achievement night on Monday, honoring those students who have lettered in academics. In order to earn their letter, students must appear on one of the three honor rolls for two consecutive semesters.     Members of Hot Springs County High School's FFA program returned over the weekend from the 90th Annual FFA National Convention in Indianapolis. While chapter members have gone to the convention in the past, this year was a special one since they were taking their booth to add to the Hall of States.     Those who need a little help getting fallen leaves off their property can get that assistance through the students at Thermopolis Middle School. This year marks the fifth that the school is providing the service. Secretary Brenda Cornwell said the leaf raking is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27. Appropriately enough, Monday will be “Pajama Day” with students coming to school wearing their favorite pajamas.
