    May 8-10, 46 fifth grade Thermopolis Middle School students took an end-of-year fun trip to Denver. Teacher Katie Despain said the group gets to go to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, attend a Rockies Game and take part in an overnight “Bunk with the Beasts” in the education center at the Denver Zoo.     Graduation ceremonies for the class of 2019 will be this Sunday, May 19 at 2 p.m. in the Hot Springs County High School Gym. Lane Randall and Jeffery VanAntwerp will address the class as Valedictorians along with Courtney Jeunehomme, this year’s Salutatorian. The featured speaker the class chose will be Tom Olsen.     Students at Thermopolis Middle School are getting excited for one of the most fun days they have in the spring as they head toward the end of the school year – the Middle School AG Expo.     April saw another year for the annual trips to Yellowstone National Park for fourth grade students from Ralph Witters Elementary. The first trip April 5-8, with the second done April 12-15. Fourth grade teacher Toby Emery, who has been travelling with the students for 12 years, said the trips began before his time with the district, in 1988, and have been going strong for 31 years.
