    According to a decision issued on May 16, a guilty verdict in a case against Justin Spence was reversed and remanded. Spence was found guilty of incest in April of 2017, and was sentenced by Judge Robert Skar to three to five years with a Wyoming Department of Corrections facility. According to the charge, he molested a juvenile female on July 4 or 5, 2014.     Thirty-nine-year-old Annette R. Arey of Thermopolis has been identified as a fatality in an accident on May 20, at milepost 148 on US 20, south of Worland. Around 7:35 a.m., Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the area for a two-vehicle collision. A 2005 Toyota Corolla, driven by Arey was traveling northbound on US 20 when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane to pass another vehicle.     The 36th Annual WYO Quarter Horse Spring sale was held at the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds last weekend. The crowd included buyers representing 18 different states, bidding on 29 geldings, eight two-year olds and 12 yearlings. Top seller at the spring show was Motown in Hollywood, a palomino gelding which fetched $42,000. The horse will find its home in California. The second high seller was Hesa Shiny Nickle, a bay gelding that went for $36,000. The beautiful bay will find its home in Utah....

    This Memorial Day marks the fourth year featuring Hawk’s Avenue of Flags at Monument Hill Cemetery, named after Airman 1st Class Donald “Hawk” Hawkins. This is also the second year the Big Horn Basin Freedom Riders will be in charge of placing the flags at the cemetery on Monday morning, starting at 7 a.m. Volunteers are needed to place the flags in honor of the veterans that morning and to retire them that evening.     Frances Ann (Riecken) Johnson passed away on May 17, 2019. When she passed from this world, she was staying at the home of her eldest daughter and son-in-law (Lori and Jerry Sweeney) in Douglas, Wyo. She spent 88 years on this earth before a stroke on April 28 left her in a severely weakened state. Born July 7, 1930, in Grass Creek, Wyo., to Cornelius and Vera (Miller) Riecken, Fran grew up among the sagebrush and oil fields.     Shirley Jean Snyder, 77, of Greybull, Wyo., passed away Friday, May 17, 2019. Born July 25, 1941, in Thermopolis, Wyo., she was the daughter of Alba and Dorothy (Skinner) Wood. She grew up in Thermopolis and Lucerne. On December 14, 1956, she married William Roy (Bill) Enis and this union brought forth four children, Gary, Debbie, Patty Jo and Mical.
