The Hot Springs County High School Bobcats and Lady Cats cross country teams competed in the Chief Nations Invitational at the Wyoming Indian School in Ethete on September 13. With some very impressive times being recorded, the team brought home some well-deserved hardware. The Bobcats were tournament champs, placing four Cats in the top ten. Thermopolis Middle School boys and girls cross country teams travels to Riverton last Thursday for the Berry Bryant/Kyle Johnson Memorial and Spartan Cross Country meet with the boys finishing in 7th place and the girls in 8th place. In a game that was historic on many levels, the Hot Springs County High School Bobcat football team was in Worland last weekend. It was the first game played against the Warriors in Worland since 2008. And, it was the first time the Bobcats have defeated the Warriors since 1998. Coming off a close loss to Newcastle in week zero, the team was geared up to get the new year under way. For the second year in a row, the Hot Springs County High School Bobcats traveled to Buffalo last week to face off with the Dogies of Newcastle for a week zero clash. Last year the Cats earned a win on the final play of the game, with a touchdown pass to Ryan Arends in the end zone.
