Enrollment in the Hot Springs County School District has increased from 610 at the end of the 2014-15 school year to 654 at the end of the 2015-16 school year. The enrollment in the majority of grades has also increased. First grade enrollment has increased from 41 students at the end of the 2014-15 school year to 48 students at the end of this year. Big Horn Basin Foundation Director Jessica Lippincott recently received $1,100 from the Thermopolis Community Fund to pay for 13 children to participate in a local Kids' Dig. The normal cost of the Kids' Dig is $85, which none of the kids had to pay for.
