Frieda Smith passed away on September 6, 2022, in Bozeman surrounded by her family. Frieda was born on July 19, 1932, to Dwight and Nora Smith. She was raised in rural Montana in the little town of Winifred and later Lewistown. It is with shock and disbelief that we sadly report the untimely death of Monte Lee Becker, age 59. He passed away on the 6th of September, 2022. He and his son Pascal were working at the Intricate Bay Lodge in Iliamna, Alaska, for the summer. Born September 9, 1926, in Casper, Wyo., he was one of eight children of Elijah C. and Rose (Borchers) Dodge. The family lived in Alcova during the time the dam was built. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry O'Brien; and son, Daniel Keener.
