LaWana Jeneanne Dickey

LaWana Jeneanne Dickey, 78, passed away on November 25, 2022, at her home in Thermopolis, Wyo., surrounded by her children. She was born on October 23, 1944, to Harlan Samuel and Ruby Kathryn (Snyder) Coulter in Rifle, Colo.

LaWana, was one of the strongest, most caring and loving women to ever walk this earth. She was also a caregiver to anyone that was in need. Her family, and anyone else who was blessed enough to know/meet her, would agree.

LaWana grew up in Rifle, graduated from Rifle High School and attended Mesa State University. She also obtained her beautician license. She married John W. Henrie and together had 3 children, Sabrina, John, and Tara. Her faith in our Lord was strong and unwavering. LaWana loved to travel. Through the years and together with her sister-in-law, they were able to see all 50 states. Some of her most memorable trips were Ireland, Scotland, Mexico and Alaska with family. She loved everything about nature, sunsets, hummingbirds, lady bugs, aspen trees, and just being in the mountains.

LaWana was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Gordon and Gary Coulter.

She is survived by her children, Sabrina (Bruce) Thoren, John Henrie and Tara Henrie. She has 7 grandchildren, Danae (Milo) McPhearson, Cortney (Ryan) O'Connor, Aspen (Tyler) Smercina, Korinne (Sean) Ryan, Brandon Henrie, Joshua (Mikal) Thoren, and Jason (Kate) Thoren. She also has 10 great-grandchildren, Jewell, Jaxson, Kaizen, Josephine, Melo, Quincie, Irelynn, Calvin, Sadie and Huxton.

Thank you to everyone that was a part of LaWana's life. She loved and prayed for each and every one of you. She is going to be greatly missed.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held January 28 at 11 a.m. at the Set Free Church in Thermopolis, Wyo. In lieu of flowers, LaWana would like people to send flowers to a nursing home of your choice, the Shoshoni Senior Center, Shoshoni, Wyoming or Stillwater Hospice of Northern Wyoming. Whenever you look at a sunset, remember all those you love and cherish every moment.
