On Aug. 8, a fire was sparked 19 miles south/southwest of Meeteetse. Dubbed the Twin Lakes Fire, it has since grown to nearly 1,300 acres - 93 of which are private land in Hot Springs County - as of Tuesday afternoon. The fire is on acreage in Park County, Hot Springs County and in the Wind River/Bighorn Basin District. Angie Guyon, the general manager for the Wyoming Dinosaur Center, was a nominee for the Wyoming Women of Influence this year. Guyon has worked at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center for 15 years. According to a report from the State Engineers Office, the Big Spring has increased from 1336.42 gpm (gallons per minute) in July 2013 to 1693.51 gpm in July 2016.
