Angie Guyon finalist for Women of Influence award

Angie Guyon, the general manager for the Wyoming Dinosaur Center, was a nominee for the Wyoming Women of Influence this year.

Guyon has worked at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center for 15 years. She is also a member of the Hot Springs County Travel and Tourism Board.

When she was initially nominated, Guyon said she felt honored.

"I felt very honored that I was thought of in such a way as to be nominated for Wyoming Women of Influence," she said.

Guyon was nominated as one of top three for the award for Business and Business Services. When she realized she had made the top three of the 68 women nominated, she said she was humbled.

"I felt extremely humbled that I was chosen amongst the outstanding nominees," she said.

This was the fourth annual Wyoming Women of Influence Awards. The awards were developed to celebrate women in business from across the state who have made important contributions to their industry and community.

The finalists and honorees were revealed at a luncheon in Laramie on Aug. 11.

In order to be nominated for the award, candidates must live and work in Wyoming. Nominees can only be nominated for one award in any one year. Candidates who were nominated but did not win in previous years may be nominated again another year.
