    Some people run for fun, others for sport, but a dozen women recently took on the Grand Teton Relay, a 180-mile race that started 5:30 a.m. Aug. 19 in Ashton, Idaho and ended at 5:30 Aug. 20 p.m. in Teton Village, Wyo.     Several Hot Springs County youths made a strong showing at the Wyoming State Fair Aug. 13-20 in Douglas. 4-H Strite Daniels outperformed others in his class to bring home the overall grand champion 4-H senior beef showmanship award.     Brenna Huckfeldt has taken over as the school nurse for the Hot Springs County School District. Huckfeldt was born and raised in Denver. She attended the University of Northern Colorado for two years before she transferred to the University of Wyoming.     Lola Vialpando, 34, is currently charged with 13 counts related to forgery and thefts that resulted in a $157,593.24 loss. According to court documents, Vialpando faces 10 counts of felony forgery, one count of felony larceny and two counts of felony theft.     The Hot Springs County Senior Citizens Center faces $50,000 in state budget cuts.     Recent state budget cuts have affected Wyoming Department of Family Services programs, specifically LIEAP and WAP. LIEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Program) is a program that is both state and federally funded to help low income people pay home heating bills November through June.     The Hot Springs County Sheriff’s Office and Thermopolis Police Department teamed up Monday at about 7:50 p.m. to stop a driver coming into town at over 100 miles per hour. Sheriff Lou Falgoust said Deputy Daniel Eggli clocked a red 2005 Toyota Corolla travelling 109 mph at mile marker 1 on Highway 120, and turned around to give pursuit.
