    Homecoming will be here before you know it, and the high school is once again taking donations of gently used dresses for the event. If you have dresses you would like to donate, please bring them to the high school during regular school hours.     It is amazing how quickly our little ones grow up, but its never too soon to see how their development is going. Plan now to attend the Hot Springs County Preschool Screening and Health Fair, Aug. 13-14 in the vocational building at the high school.     Its sometimes difficult in the summer to ensure that kids are getting the right nutrition between playing and swimming and cruising on their bicycles. This summer, through the USDA Summer Food Service Program, children from ages five through 18 can enjoy a free breakfast and lunch at Ralph Witters Elementary.     Jump Rope For Heart is a national education and fundraising events sponsored by the American Heart Association and the Society of Health and Physical Educators. Jump Rope For Heart events are conducted in school by physical education teachers. The money raised goes directly to the American Heart Association and every little bit helps.     The Hot Springs County High School Football program will be hosting the inaugural hot dog eating contest this Friday. Come enjoy some friendly competition and meet the staff and players of the 2018 Bobcat Football team. The contest is open to all members of the public, and contestants will eat as many hot dogs with buns as they can in four minutes. Students learned the difference between horns and antlers and compared the size of a black bear skull with a grizzly.
