The Bobcat Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12 at Hot Springs County High School. Obstetrics lead registered nurse RoxAnne Arnett presents two new fetal heart monitors during the Chamber Meet and Greet at the Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital. In October 2014, the Hospital Foundation Board challenged the community to raise half of the $30,000 needed to purchase a new fetal heart monitor, and in just over a year residents raised more than $17,000 for the purchase of one of the state-of-the-art machines. A clothing drive is planned for Dec. 16 and 17 in the commons of Hot Springs County High School. The clothing drive has been set up for people to donate their clean, gently used clothing before Thursday, Dec. 10. On Dec. 16 and 17 anyone can come to the commons and pick out clothes for themselves from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. You can pick up clothing even if you have not donated clothes. There is no limit on the number of items that can be taken home from the clothing drive. Volunteers will be around to help people find clothing and correct...
The Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce has a blessing tree located outside of their office located at 220 Park Street. Citizens wishing to place a blessing on the tree can stop by the office during regular business hours (Mon.-Sat. 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sun. 10 a.m.-3 p.m.) to pick up a red tag. A large number of Vesper Chapter members attended the annual Grand Chapter Session in Casper in August. Tom Smith completed his year as the Worthy Grand Patron of Wyoming. The Grand Chapter awarded fourteen $500 scholarships to Wyoming students who plan to pursue professions in religious fields.
