Eastern Star members planning luncheon, sale

A large number of Vesper Chapter members attended the annual Grand Chapter Session in Casper in August. Tom Smith completed his year as the Worthy Grand Patron of Wyoming.

The Grand Chapter awarded fourteen $500 scholarships to Wyoming students who plan to pursue professions in religious fields.

Vesper members also hosted the annual Eastern Star golf day in July, which raised over $600 for charity.

On November 17, the members of Vesper Chapter hosted the traditional birthday party for Pioneer Home residents.

A carry-in dinner was held during the November 19 meeting with non-perishable food items donated to the food pantry.

The current year will end with the annual luncheon and pre-Christmas sale at the Masonic Lodge on Saturday, Dec. 7. The sale begins at 9 a.m., with lunch at 11 a.m.

Portions of all fundraisers go to charities and local community projects.
