    April saw another year for the annual trips to Yellowstone National Park for fourth grade students from Ralph Witters Elementary. The first trip April 5-8, with the second done April 12-15. Fourth grade teacher Toby Emery, who has been travelling with the students for 12 years, said the trips began before his time with the district, in 1988, and have been going strong for 31 years.     The high school band, choir and select solos and ensembles recently attended the Northern Bighorn Basin District Festival in Cody. Director Drew Brown said the large ensembles each saw growth from last year’s scores, however, it is important to note the judges change from year to year.     Its time to to start thinking about kicking off summer with the Hot City 3-on-3 Summer Slam sponsored by the Bobcat Booster Club. The tournament will be held on Memorial Day weekend, May 26 and 27 in the high school parking lot.     Ralph Witters Elementary will host a kindergarten registration event on Tuesday, April 30, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the school cafeteria. To be eligible for kindergarten, students must be five years old by Sept. 15, 2019. Those registering students should bring a state certified birth certificate and immunization records. If a birth certificate is not available on April 30, it must be brought to the school office before the first day of the 2019-20 school year.
