The auction was held for Lauri Olsen, who was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, at the HSC Fair Building last Friday night.     Two events will be held at the Thermopolis Middle School on Saturday, Nov. 20 There will be the Chair-ity/Christmas Tree Auction, a benefit for the People for People Backpack Program, held in the Commons area. They will be preparing the food, packaging and delivering the meals to their People for People families and anyone that needs a meal.     Dawn Peil is the new 4-H Educator at the UW Extension Office. Peil grew up here in the 4-H and FFA programs and she has always been involved in ag.     Donna Brown, 87, of Cody, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2021, after a brief illness. She was born prematurely on December 29, 1933, in Kirby, Wyo., and in order to keep her alive she was put in a shoebox and then placed in a coal stove oven. She and her older sister, Barbara, were raised by their maternal grandparents.     Thermopolis Sorting Series kicked off its 2021-22 season on Saturday. The event was well-attended by contestants from the Big Horn Basinarea and as far away as Green River.     Wyoming gas prices fall by almost 5 cents CHEYENNE (WNE) — Wyoming gas prices have fallen 4.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.41 per gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy.com’s daily survey of 494 stations in Wyoming. Gas prices in Wyoming are 2.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago, and stand $1.28 per gallon higher than a year ago.
