    Thermopolis Bobcat football started their season on a high note, whipping Tongue River on Friday, September 4, 22-7. Coach Matt McPhie said the defense scored the first points of the season with a scoop and score by Eli McCumber.     The Lady Cats traveled to Torrington last Saturday to take on the Lady Trailblazers in volleyball action.     The Bobcat Cross Country team has been busy with a competition in Buffalo on Saturday, September 5, followed by a meet in Riverton on September 10.     Thermopolis Middle School kicked off their football season a few weeks ago with a 38-6 win over Shoshoni.     A slow down in aerial spraying created a slight dip in fuel sales at the Hot Springs County Airport during August according to FBO Nate Messenger. Messenger told the Hot Springs County Commissioners at their September 1 meeting that the airport saw a total of 146 operations at the facility, including nine turbine helicopters and five jet engine aircraft.     More than 1,600 Thermopolis and Hot Springs County residents came out to cast their ballots on Tuesday in the Primary Election and the unofficial results are in.
