Next week, the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds will be busy as the 2017 County Fair gets into full swing. Of course, youth involved with the fair will be plenty active as they prep their exhibits, weigh their animals and prepare to show them in the arena. Plenty others not showing animals will have exhibits in several ag-related fields as well as work such as photography, beadwork and ceramics. I wrote to our local Wyoming House Representative on the subject of cannabis in the Bible and have received zero responses to my multiple attempts at communication. He needs to explain why he refuses to acknowledge the 81 percent of Wyoming residents that want medical cannabis to be made available in this state. Thank you. Have a great week! Recently I had the pleasure of renewing my bridge partnership with a close personal friend from Worland. We competed (not too well unfortunately) in a regional tournament in Casper over last weekend. After a break of some years from tournament action, it was an eye-opener to experience the competition again and to renew acquaintance with old friends and opponents. Sixty plus years ago, Dad and I would arise at 4 a.m. in Torrington and have our lines in the water by first light at Glendo. We caught a ton (slight exaggeration) of fish there. The Bureau of Reclamation made the decision earlier this week to up the flow from Boysen Reservoir to 9,000cfs, up from the 8,000cfs for the last week or so.
