Born April 29, 1938, in Los Angeles, Calif., she was one of three children of Chester and Helen (Kroulik) Williams. The family moved to Colorado when Margaret was a child. She graduated from Longmont High School. On March 20, 1955, she married Gene Perdue in New Mexico and the couple settled in Lyons, Colo.
