Howell “Chris” Coleman Downs, 73, passed away on October 27, 2015. Chris fought a hard and courageous battle with cancer and died peacefully at the Spirit Mountain Hospice House surrounded by his family. Born December 29, 1949, in Pampa, Texas, he was the son of Elmer and Effie Jo (Gregory) Ownsby. Raised in Oklahoma and Arizona, he worked as a chef then spent much of his life in the oilfields. Janet L. Blakesley, 70, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at Hospice House in Rapid City, S. D. Janet was born December 13, 1944, in Worland, Wyo., to William and Vivian (Duncan) Brooks.
