    Doctor Travis Bomengen was awarded the 2021 WRITE Excellence in Teaching Award for the Wyoming region.     A Thermopolis Middle School teacher was recently named the Hot Springs County School District’s Teacher of the Year for 2021. Thermopolis Middle School Principal Steven Soderstrom presented sixth-grade teacher Jacob Strenger to the Hot Springs County School District Board of Trustees as the Teacher of the Year during their May 20 meeting.     Megan Olson is Hot Springs Health's first resident of Thermopolis' Rural Training Track out of the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Program.     Sonja Johansen is the new Golf Pro Shop manager and she will be taking care of the clubhouse. There are plans to reopen the restaurant at the course soon.     Sarah and Daniel Jarvis are proud, first time parents of the first baby born at Hot Springs Health in 2021. Jasper Dean Jarvis was born at 1:07 a.m. on Friday, January 1.
