    The Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital board met Monday evening and Tuesday at noon this week to discuss the upcoming hospital insurance/billing questions review, MRI updates, and recent surveys.     The Tuesday July 21 Town Council meeting concluded multiple projects for the city. Town Clerk/Treasurer Tracey Van Heule presented the year-end asset deletions which were approved by the board.     Citizens needing to do work in the Hot Springs County Courthouse will find the elevator is currently out of service. Issues with the elevator had been coming more frequently, however, over the weekend it became a safety issue when the elevator began moving too quickly up and down the shaft with no gentle start or stop.     Paul Ward came before the Hot Springs County Planning Commission last week with a request to change a portion of his property from agricultural to industrial. Ward would like to take approximately 14 acres of his land above the irrigation ditch and create a gravel pit. The area in question is something of a hill, approximately 20 to 30 feet above the ditch, and Ward intends to basically level out the land, removing the gravel in the process.
