The 11th Annual Rotary Turbo Turtle Trek is on its way to Thermopolis, Saturday, Aug. 13. The season of giving toward Operation Christmas Child for 2017 is set to begin on January 1, though donations will be accepted year-round. But, people don’t have to wait until next year to begin giving. Tuesday evening, the Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees approved budgets for the year starting July 1. Chief Financial Officer Shelly Larson explained earlier this year the budget had to be sent to the County, which approves the amount it will fund to the hospital. The Spring 2016 statewide testing results were released last week by the Wyoming Department of Education. The results show each grade level’s proficiency in math, reading and science in comparison to 2015 scores. Cowboy Coffee opened last Tuesday to provide locals with a drive-in coffee alternative.
