Ed Good, a 1973 graduate from Hot Springs County High School, had mailed in a request to Lynn and Foster Friess on behalf of the programs, asking for a donation to start the new year.     Hot Springs County citizens aged 70 and over are now able to get the vaccination for COVID-19 through Hot Springs County Public Health. Now that they are finishing up with the prioritization of Phase 1A they can begin Phase 1B this week. Those 70 and older are included in Phase 1B. Mark Gordon has announced that he will soon lift public health orders that required Wyoming bars and restaurants to close at 10 p.m. Effective January 9, updated health orders permit bars and restaurants to resume onsite consumption from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The updated orders also allow gyms to increase the number of participants in group fitness classes from 10 to 25. .     Sarah and Daniel Jarvis are proud, first time parents of the first baby born at Hot Springs Health in 2021. Jasper Dean Jarvis was born at 1:07 a.m. on Friday, January 1. He weighed in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long. According to Sarah, Jasper's original due date was January 7. "We planned to have a natural birth," said Sarah.     Hot Springs County Assessor Daniel Webber announced today that currently qualified Hot Springs County veterans or their surviving spouse should contact the Assessor’s Office by telephone to renew their Veteran’s Exemption for 2021 on their property taxes.
