At the December 7 Thermopolis Town Council meeting, during citizen participation, CPA Michael Wright presented the Town Audit to the council. Wright said the results were almost the same as last year. Wright also informed the council that he is retiring at the end of the year and that his firm will no longer be performing audits. Holy Trinity Episcopal Church members will be preparing Christmas Meals this year. They will not have eat-in meals at the church. They will be preparing the food, packaging, and delivering the meals to their People for People family and anyone that needs a meal. Wyoming gasoline prices down slightly in the past week CHEYENNE WNE) — Wyoming gas prices have declined 0.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.37 per gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy.com’s daily survey of 494 stations in Wyoming. The Thermopolis Middle School (TMS) started a student section on November 23, 2021. TMS Counselor Lacey Shaffer came up with the idea to spread Bobcat Culture in the school. Lacey has started a club that invites students to cheer on their local teams. A student section is used as a place in the stands for local kids or teens that go to our schools. Unemployment falls as people leave work force CHEYENNE (WNE) — The Research and Planning Section of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services reported Monday that the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped from 4.5% in September to 4.1% in October. The recent decreases in Wyoming’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate have been largely the result of unemployed individuals leaving the labor force.
