The Bn. consisted of headquarters, Sheridan Firing Batteries: A-Thermopolis, B-Cody, C-Worland, Service Batt. Lovell. Batter A-Thermopolis consisted of 70 volunteers local A Battery. Daniel Lee Herdt passed away early Tuesday morning, November 23, 2021, from congestive heart failure. He passed with his wife by his side in his home in Thermopolis, Wyo. Dan was born August 20, 1956, to Wilbert and Shirley Herdt of Torrington, Wyo. He was oldest of four children and enjoyed playing football, baseball, and basketball in his youth. Roger Keith Mayne, 67, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at his home in Thermopolis surrounded by his family. Born May 6, 1956, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was one of seven children of Alex and Elizabeth (McKeehan) Mayne. He was named All State Football Player in Ohio in 1971, and graduated from Kings Mills High School in 1972. He served in the US Air Force four years where he developed his love for Wyoming. Master Sargent John James Roark, 73, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021, after a short illness. Born August 18, 1948, in Albany, N.Y., he was one of nine children of John and Betty (Rapp) Roark. Following high school he joined the US Air Force where he served 20 years, seeing much of the world. After meeting Ellen in Utah in 1992, the couple wed February 10, 1994, in New York. Janice was born on March 3, 1960, in Boise City, Okla., to Donald Bedford Keith and Peggie Suitor. The Thermopolis Middle School (TMS) started a student section on November 23, 2021. TMS Counselor Lacey Shaffer came up with the idea to spread Bobcat Culture in the school. Lacey has started a club that invites students to cheer on their local teams. A student section is used as a place in the stands for local kids or teens that go to our schools. Unemployment falls as people leave work force CHEYENNE (WNE) — The Research and Planning Section of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services reported Monday that the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped from 4.5% in September to 4.1% in October. The recent decreases in Wyoming’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate have been largely the result of unemployed individuals leaving the labor force.
