Janice Darlene Keith Turner

Janice Darlene Keith Turner, 61, loving wife, sister and mother of 5 children passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

Janice was born on March 3, 1960, in Boise City, Okla., to Donald Bedford Keith and Peggie Suitor. At 19 years old she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and attended Texas State Technical Institute for their highway equipment program. Janice worked as a CNA on and off for many years, including the hospitals in Boise City, Oklahoma and in Thermopolis, Wyo. She later retired as a CNA from the Pioneer Home in Thermopolis.

In 1979 Janice welcomed a baby boy whom she lovingly placed for adoption, Corey. In 1982 Janice and her then husband Mark Freeman (deceased), welcomed a baby girl, Bridgett. In 1985 Janice met the love of her life and husband Bob Turner in Amarillo, Texas, they were married December 6, 1985. Bob and Janice Turner welcomed 3 more daughters together, Kyla, Jodi, and Kellie. Together they raised their four daughters in Thermopolis.

When Janice was in third grade, she was lucky enough to meet her lifelong friend Delpha Burleson (Farris) of Oklahoma and later in high school Debra Lindsey (Burleson) of Oklahoma, affectionately dubbed the "Three Amigos".

Janice grew up a daddy's girl and loved her family above everything. She was the first to offer her help with family members or friends in times of need. Taking care of others was a passion that she held dearly. Janice never met someone she couldn't befriend with her heart of gold and warm and kind personality. Janice loved supporting her children and grandchildren by going to their games, matches and theater/musical performances. Among her family and friends some of her favorite things were America, blue birds, eagles, kayaking, camping, traveling, games, and street dances with her beloved husband Bob.

Janice means the world to her family, friends, community, and many others, and she will be deeply missed. "Until we meet again. We will think about you always, we talk about you still, you have never been forgotten, and you never will. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain, to walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again."

Janice is survived by her husband, Bob Turner, of Thermopolis; daughters, Bridgett (Kevin) Howard of Wyoming, Kyla Turner of Montana, Jodi Turner of Colorado, Kellie Turner of South Dakota; son Corey (Ashley) Smith of Florida; grandchildren, Ethan, Hayden, Audrina, Austin, Mason, Emilynn, Jace, Jayce, Noelle, Madison, and Kamara; siblings, Lowetta Sirmons, Donna Janelle Wishon, Donald Keith Jr., Roberta Fischer, Paul Keith, James Keith, and Beth Dobbs; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and uncles.
