Of those, 171,964 were Republican, 8,194 were Democrat and 1,984 were Non-Partisan.     The Town of Thermopolis is continuing its water project and now work begins on Richard Street between 6th and 7th Streets. It is between Mack's Market and Family Dollar/Dollar Tree, Merlin's Hideout and Kirby Creek Tannery. The water pipes underneath the surface need to be replaced due to age and the potential for leaking, which makes the soil to be very loose and unstable.     During the Primary Election Day on Tuesday, August 16, the polling location for the Town of East Thermopolis Precinct 2-1 and the Town of Kirby Precinct 3-1 had to move due to flooding at the County Museum. Hot Springs County Clerk Becky Kersten received a phone call from her Deputy Karen Slocum at 5:34 a.m. that morning to inform her of the flooding.
