    I couldn’t help comparing the two letters to the editor printed last week. To say they were “different” would be like comparing a blinding snowstorm at night, to a bright, sunny, summer day.     The following are facts I have compiled about Hot Springs State Park. The state did not develop the Master Plan, the Steering Committee did and both pool owners were part of the committee. The Big Spring produces 1,527 gallons per minute. Two fountains use 20 gpm each, Days Inn uses 25 gpm, Plaza uses 30 gpm, State Bath House uses 85 gpm, Teepee uses 280 gpm and Star Plunge uses 350 gpm.     Frances R. Collins, 98, passed away peacefully at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Billings, Mont., on April 26, 2016. She was born March 20, 1918, to Loring and Cliffe Robinson in Sioux County, Neb. Frances married Harry Collins on January 26, 1937. To this union was born two children, Bessie Jo Van Dusen and Harvey Collins. She is survived by her son, Harvey; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 13 great, great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; and daughter, Bessie Jo.     Ernest Nathan "Nate" Brown Jr., 94, born May 11, 1921, to Ernest Nathan (Ernie) Brown Sr. and Eunice Williams Brown, passed away peacefully in his home off Coalmine Draw Rd. in Grass Creek, Wyo., on April 24, 2016, in the company of his wife and children.     Thomas Don Allard, 59, passed away March 31, 2016. Thomas was born July 25, 1956, in Thermopolis, Wyo., to Donald C. and Grace E. Allard. Thomas grew up in Thermopolis and graduated from Hot Springs County High School in 1974. He met his future wife while still in high school when he was a senior and she was a junior.     James Carl "Whitey" Westby, 76, died at his home in Kimball , Neb. on Sunday April 24, 2016. James was born in Huron, S. D., on May 16, 1939, the son of Thomas and Ferne (Bales) Westby.     William “Bill” Clegg, 81, passed away April 24, 2016, in Golden Valley, Ariz. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on March 2, 1935, to William and Catherine Clegg. They moved to Thermopolis in 1941. He went into the army in 1952. He became part of the Galyan family and Chuck Galyan was his surrogate father. When his mother passed away in 1955 he was discharged from the army to come home for her funeral. He then served in the reserves for a few years. Wyoming Track Classic Jules Ward was the 3200 Meters champion at the all class Wyoming Track Classic in Casper on Monday, with a personal record time 11:49.23.     Jonah Cook was just playing a leisure game of golf with his dad on April 23 at the Thermopolis Golf Course when he got a hole in one on his second hole. Cook attends Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs. He graduated from Hot Springs County High School in 2014.     Ralph Witters Elementary fourth graders, split into two separate trips, visited Yellowstone National Park. The first trip was April 15-18 and the second trip was April 29-May 2.
