William 'Bill' Clegg


William “Bill” Clegg, 81, passed away April 24, 2016, in Golden Valley, Ariz.

He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on March 2, 1935, to William and Catherine Clegg. They moved to Thermopolis in 1941. He went into the army in 1952. He became part of the Galyan family and Chuck Galyan was his surrogate father. When his mother passed away in 1955 he was discharged from the army to come home for her funeral. He then served in the reserves for a few years. While he was in the army, he received his GED and attended one year of college. When he came home he rejoined the Galyan family. They already had three boys, Robin, Bruce and Brian, and they became his close brothers.

Bill married Rosemary Hornick in 1963 and their children were born; Robert, Jackie and Sam. They later divorced. In 1984 Bill married Jeannie Tibor and they moved to Golden Valley Ariz., in 1989.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; sisters, Sally and Kitty; brother, Robin, Brian and Bruce; his three children; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

His body was given to science. A celebration of life will be held in the fall.
