    A house located on Highway 20, just over the county line between Hot Springs and Washakie counties, caught fire Monday around noon. Members of the Thermopolis Fire Department assisted the Worland Fire Department in extinguishing the fire. According to Chris Kocher, Worland Fire Chief, investigators are on the scene and the cause of the fire is still under investigation....

Firefighters responded to an alarm that came in at 10:22 p.m. with four trucks and 18 personnel, and were on scene for about four hours.     Members of a Morgan Car Club passed through Thermopolis last week as part of the Morgan Across America Tour. The group had 18 cars from California and cars shipped here from England, New Zealand, France and Australia. They stopped here to get gas and have a little lunch before hitting some of the hot spots, then traveling through to Cody where they planned to spend the night before heading into Yellowstone.     Recent heavy rains caused area creeks to fill to capacity and beyond. This culvert located on Cottonwood Creek Road was not able to withstand the pressure of the added water. The county closed the roadway late Tuesday afternoon prior to the culvert being torn out later in the evening. This section of the road will be closed for an unknown length of time.
