Council approves liquor licenses, leaves one pending and one tabled

On February 17, the Thermopolis Town Council took up a few citizen requests and also reviewed several liquor license renewal requests for the new year.

The council approved liquor license renewals for the following establishments: OEB, LLC.; 7 Lazy S Café & Bar, LLC; Thermopolis Liquors; Mack’s Market Inc.; OEB Salon, LLC.; Double R Store, LLC.; Maverick Inc.; VFW Post #2281; Pizza Hut; and One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company.

The council agreed to renew the liquor license for Los Cabos, provided that the entity makes contact with the town on or before March 31, 2026, to advise of the status of that business with the State of Wyoming.

The council tabled the requested renewal for Big Spring Spa/Safari Club, in that they do not currently have a lease with Hot Springs State Park which will cover the entire year.

Charles Smith of the 7 Lazy S Cafe requested the issuance of a 24-hour liquor permit for the Chamber of Commerce Banquet to be held on March 14. There being no objections, the permit was approved.

On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce, Meri Ann Dorman appeared to request a street closure on June 13 for a non-motorized parade, in conjunction with the upcoming Trailblazer Days celebration. With no objections, the request was approved by the council.

​The Thermopolis Town Council will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m., at the Town Hall, 420 Broadway.
