Bobcat tracksters win second meet of the season

The Hot Springs County High School Bobcat track team was in Shoshoni last week to compete at the Shoshoni Invite – an event that drew twenty-two teams from around the area to compete in a full day of events, which went far into the evening before all competitions were complete. With a final team score of 114 points, the Bobcats finished in first place for the second time this season – toping teams who compete for far larger schools.

After the event, coach Boone Bowker commented, “That was an all-around good showing for the Bobcats team. I’m especially excited to see the 4x100 relay team qualify for state, with the time they posted in Shoshoni. We haven’t qualified in that event for so long, I can’t actually remember when was the last time.”

“Seth Needham and Jadeth Elder have each qualified to compete at the Track Classic in Casper this week, and that is a testament to the effort they each have put forward this season. I’m really proud of them.”
