  • Lady Cats dig out win

    Daniel Powell|Sep 18, 2025

The Hot Springs County High School Volleyball team hosted Lander Valley last Tuesday night. After suffering a gut wrencher to Worland on September 5, the Lady Cats were in need of a win and a boast to their morale. The game against Lander was just what the doctor ordered. After losing the first two sets to the #5 ranked, Class 3A Lady Tigers, the Lady Cats could, perhaps, have been excused for giving in, however, that thought never entered their minds. As the student section came alive,...

  • Lady Cats hit the road

    Daniel Powell|Sep 11, 2025

The Hot Springs County High School volleyball team hosted their nemesis from Worland last Friday night. Although the team made improvements in their play from the week before, Worland just proved to be too much. The Lady Cats started the night strong in game one, getting up by as much as ten points, however, a few let ups in focus allowed the Lady Warriors to get back into the game, and the changing score seemed to negatively impact the Lady Cats self-confidence. Game one went to Worland, by a...

    Daniel Powell|Sep 11, 2025

The Hot Springs County High School Bobcat football team opened the 2025 season against the Tongue River Eagles last Friday night. Coming off a close loss to Newcastle in week zero, the team was geared up to get the new year under way. With the late afternoon sun fading beyond the west end-zone, and casting long shadows across the length of the field, the Cats won the toss but elected to defer. After the Eagles went three and out, and following a shanked punt, the Cats found themselves with first and ten from the Eagles 41 yard line. A...

Last year the Cats earned a win on the final play of the game, with a touchdown pass to Ryan Arends in the end zone. As with a year ago, the battle in Buffalo proved to be an exciting way to kick off the Bobcats new season. The final score this year was 20-21, with the Cats falling just short of the win. Annie Hayslip|Jul 31, 2025

Porshia Birdsley rests easy - at least for the moment - in her Gottsche Gym surroundings.
