James (Jim) Robert Mecca, the son of a coal mining family, was born in Glencoe, WY, on September 17, 1933, to James and Mae Mecca. He died early Wednesday morning, July 24th, 2019 at the Hospice of Laramie after a 16 month battle with cancer. Christopher Hamlin, 37, of Thermopolis passed away on Friday, July 5 at his home. Chris was born August 14, 1981 in Rawlins, Wyo., to Mike and Geneva Hamlin (Kobielusz). Mike introduced Chris to the outdoors very early in life taking him on hunting and fishing trips as an infant. Unfortunately, Mike’s life was cut short and died when Chris was two years old.
