A couple weeks ago, tickets went on sale for the annual scholarship raffle hosted by VFW Post 2281. The post annually honors the memory of Sergeant William T. McCormick by providing a scholarship for Hot Springs County High School students in his name. Tickets are $10 each, and are available at the VFW Club, 302 Broadway. The Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled an informational meeting regarding water in Boysen Reservoir. The meeting will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 21 at the Elks Lodge, 604 Coburn Ave. in Worland. Topics of discussion include current water supply conditions, the 2017 snowmelt runoff forecast and 2017 projected reservoir operations. The Thermopolis Community Blood Drive by United Blood Services will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday, March 20 at the Hot Springs County Senior Center. A community blood drive is held in Thermopolis every few months. The goal at each drive is to collect 25 pints of blood. Police, emergency and fire personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident at 12:06 p.m. on March 7, at Sixth and Arapahoe. According to the report, a truck driven by Wesley Meier was attempting to cross Sixth when it was struck by a truck driven by Devin Jaussaud. There were no ambulance transports from the scene. Monday afternoon in Hot Springs District Court, Michelle McLeran was sentenced to three to five years with the Wyoming Women’s Center in Lusk on a charge of fourth-offense driving under the influence. The charge is from an April 1 incident, with previous convictions from March of 2011, May of 2012 and the summer of 2014. McLeran pleaded no contest to the charge in November. Judge Robert E.
