    RIVERTON (WNE) — The man who accidentally shot and killed his friend last year in Riverton has pleaded no contest to manslaughter. Keith Sack, 23, of Riverton, entered the plea during a change-of-plea hearing Jan. 31. His sentencing date is yet to be scheduled, pending review of a pre-sentence investigation report ordered by the judge in the case.     Thermopolis eighth grade student Karina Lea will be attending the 28th Jackson Hole Writers Conference June 27-29 on a full ride scholarship.     Two graduates of the Hot Springs County High School Class of 2016, Jacob Hart and Tyler Cornwell, recently graduated from Basic Military Training for the Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.     Worland’s Shopko is the latest victim of the corporation’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will be closing its doors on May 12. The store received word they would be shutting down last week amid the company’s Chapter 11 restructuring that was filed in December. The winners will be announced at the annual Chamber Banquet on March 23.
