    The Wyoming FFA was forced to cancel its convention due to Covid19. The convention was to take place April 15-18 in Cheyenne. It was decided to hold an online celebration, the 2020 Wyoming FFA Jubilee. This way they could recognize members and advisors and their accomplishments over the 2019-2020 Wyoming FFA year.     Hot Springs County Recreation District Director, Anja Abbott, informed the Hot Springs County School District’s Board of Directors they have managed to cut about $45,000 out of their budget. Abbott said they are trying to cut the little stuff here and there in order to get the budget in line.     The Hot Springs County Commissioners met briefly as the County Board of Equalization in order to sign the 2020 abstract of Hot Springs County. County Assessor, Dan Weber, put the abstract together, which includes everything his department assesses by categories, including private property, industrial and agricultural.     Three Hot Springs County residents have tested positive for Coronavirus over this last weekend. At least one dozen more people have undergone testing as of Monday, May 18. Results are pending. Ongoing tracing of multiple contacts is underway. If others test positive the contact tracing will include more people. With this ongoing contact tracing we will be seeing more people in home isolation and quarantine.
