A cookie jar auction fundraiser will be held Saturday, July 9 for Jessica Power and her preemie twins, Kimber and Colt. It will begin at 6 p.m. at the HSC Fair Building. In mid April, Jessica’s blood pressure spiked and after being transported to a Billings hospital the twins were born via c-section on April 16. H Diamond W Youth Camp is holding its Appreciation Day on Sunday, June 26 from 2-4 p.m at the camp on Grass Creek. Camp representative Ray Shaffer explained that there had been many upgrades to modernize the camp over the last eight years. Additionally, they received a large grant from the Daniels Fund. Flows in the Bighorn River were raised on Monday and Tuesday this week from 2,300 cubic feet/second to 6,000 cubic feet/second. The increase was done over a period of 48 hours with the final increase being Tuesday evening. Release from Boysen Reservoir increased to allow for addition inflows. Roedy Farrell and Jase Longwell came home from the Wyoming State High School Rodeo finals in Buffalo with championships. Longwell is the State Champion Saddlebronc Rider and earned All Around Cowboy for the second year in a row. Farrell is the State Champion Bareback Rider.
