A celebration of 100 years is being planned for the Town of Kirby on Saturday, July 18. There will be tours of the town available along with history of the area, photos and trips to the jail, which will be on the National Historical Society Register. Former residents and family members of pioneer families will be there with stories and photos from the past. The celebration will be held from 1 p.m. til 5 p.m. with live music, food and soft drinks. Four young musicians from Thermopolis were recently on a once in a lifetime tour of Europe as part of the Wyoming Ambassadors of Music band and choir tour. Kayla Gilbert, Cameron Igou and Wyatt Wright participated in the band while Korey Smith sang with the choir during the whirlwind tour that included England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Lichtenstein and Austria.
