Opening the Travel and Tourism meeting on a positive note, Amanda Moeller reported that it was a record month for the tax deposit with an 18% increase over last year. The fate of the annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament was the main focus of discussion during last week’s chamber of commerce meeting. A year ago, the chamber board discussed dropping the event as a fundraiser and were soon approached by the Bobcat Booster Club who wanted to take it over as their own fundraiser. It’s that time of year again. Time for crashes, bashes and the roar of engines as the Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce hosts the 2015 Thermopolis Demolition Derby.
