Andre Bohren, classical pianist headquartered in New Orleans, will present a classical piano concert, Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. in the Hot Springs County School District Auditorium. Bohren is a lifelong musician with eclectic tastes. His early obsessions were with Peruvian flutes and 1950’s rock, followed by classical piano and then syncopated funk. The H.O.P.E Agency will be conducting a candlelight vigil for the many victims of domestic violence in the state of Wyoming. On Tuesday, Oct. 27 at noon, there will be a free soup luncheon. Everyone is welcome to attend. After the lighting ceremony, they will release a purple balloon for each victim. A fundraiser for the Thermopolis family of Anna, Alan and Piper Rossler will be Saturday, Oct. 24 at the VFW. All proceeds will go to support their constant travel to medical facilities in Denver and Billings. Piper, who was born at 28 weeks and three days, needs close monitoring of health issues in both Denver and Billings, and the funds raised will help eliminate some of the medical and travel expenses. Change is always something difficult to deal with. It is even more challenging to implement.
