The kiddie dash obstacle course for children up to 12 years of age will be on the lawn near the Pioneer Home beginning at 9 a.m. The 5K will start at 9:30 a.m. Children are welcome to do the 5K with adults or they may stay at the obstacle course which will be supervised by adults. Hot Springs County 4-H members attended shooting sports camp at the H Diamond W camp on Grass Creek Friday through Sunday. Participants learned about archery, muzzleloaders, shotguns, .22 pistols, air pistols and air rifles. The camp featured an instructor who has trained youths for Olympic air rifle and pistol who taught advanced air rifle. The banners are up, and it’s just over a week before the Thermopolis Cowboy Rendezvous PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) Rodeo hits town. This year’s rodeo is June 23-26. This weekend, proceeds from a yard sale hosted by Kim Enis will go to Relay for Life. Enis explained she typically has a big sale at the armory, with donations from the town, but it got to be a bit much.
